John and Gem helped me understand 1) Lemma which links concrete syntax and abstract syntax (lemma 4.1 in JVLC paper), theoretically needs to be proved for our project. 2) Lemmas for adding and removing of curves. In our case, we need to extend it to vertices and edges.

Assistance from Supervisors:

**Euler Diagrams (Section 3):** Definitions 3.4, 3.5 and 3.6 extended from JVLC paper needs to be checked along with the examples.
**Diagram Description (Section 4):** Definitions 4.2, 4.3, 4,4, 4,5, 4.6 are also extended from JVLC paper needs to be checked. Lemmas 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 needs a bit of clarification.
**Adding and Removing curves (Section 5): Definition 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 extended from JVLC paper needs to be checked.**

Things to do:

- Defining zone at abstract level and concrete level. Also, need to provide an example for each.
- Defining minimal region and basic region at abstract level. (to maintain symmetry in the sections)
